The weather in Scotland is so unpredictable, blue skies one minute followed by torrential downpours the next.

I had been patiently waiting for sunset on this beautiful evening, a huge cloud mass was loitering offshore and heading my way. Would the Sun reward my patience in time before I got caught up in this deluge.

Photography is often about being in the right place at the right time and having enough knowledge and skill to get the shot in that fleeting moment. I had 1 minute of exquisite light hitting the underside of this cloud formation before the Sun dipped over the horzion. 2 minutes later and I was completely drenched as the cloud came overhead.
